Welcome to our journey! We would like to thank you for visiting our site to learn more about the vision God has for our family. Let us introduce ourselves, we are Chris and Tayra Douglas. We're already blessed with two children, ages 6 and 7, and are in the process of adopting three children from Ghana, Africa. Wyatt is six, Arianna is five, and Owen is three; all siblings living in an orphange in Kumasi. Our hope is that you will partner with us in praying for our children, and all other orphans worldwide.
Tayra and I have been praying about adoption for a couple of years now. At the end of October, I was looking online at an adoption site and saw a little three-year-old boy named Owen. I was immediately drawn to him and I knew that I loved him as my own son. I clicked on his profile and saw he had a five-year-old sister and a six-year-old brother!! I was shocked! I bit overwhelmed, I prayed to our Father and asked Him to open or close this door for me because we can not afford 3 children, especially from Africa! I said "Amen". Literally 60 seconds later, I met a lady from Church who asked me if Tayra and I were thinking about adoption still. I was like, "wow." I told her I was just praying about it one minute ago while I was looking at the computer... and then she just interrupted me and said, with a smile on her face, "It doesn't really matter, my husband and I talked last night and feel led to give you $1,000 to start your adoption!" I was amazed and emotional. God truly opened the door for us. Our first payment due was $4,750. Without even advertising... we recieved that exact amount in 3 days!! God is Great! Will you join us on this adventure?
